Wicked Chocolate Cake Recipe

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

Welcome to our second food post! We are happy to share this quick Wicked Chocolate Cake recipe with you if you are in need of a great dessert to serve at your dinner party, for a birthday or just when you want to devour a good chocolate cake.

Dry Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour

3/4 cups Hershey's cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line two 9-inch round baking pans.

2. Stir sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl.

3. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat mixture for about 2 minutes or until completely mixed and there are no lumps. While mixing the batter slowly pour boiling water, take note that the mixture will be runny.

4. Divide batter between the two lined and greased baking pans.

5. Bake for 28- 30 minutes (check your cake within the 28 minute mark because ours baked at 28 minutes) or until a tooth pick inserted in the cake comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes on a wired rack. Turn cakes from the pans and let them cool completely.

  1. Level cakes and using a piping bag, pipe frosting on the top of the first cake and this will serve as the layer of the cake. Using the remaining frosting decorate your cake as you wish.

  2. Enjoy!

We hope you try this recipe and let us know what you think!
